What’s Kintsugi?
Kintsugi is a traditional Japanese technique of repairing broken pottery with gold lacquer. The mended gold veins become a celebration of imperfection instead of hiding it. We love that philosophy!

Quite White

It’s Ir-Resistible
Try the emboss resist technique. Emboss the wreath with white embossing powder, then use the flat brush tip of a Water Painter to brush ink over it. The embossed image resists the ink and makes the image stand out.
Go for the Gold
Create a gold-touched card. Swipe VersaMark ink (p. 131) along the side of a card, sprinkle with gold embossing powder, then blur the edge with your finger and emboss.

Add Some Shimmer
Create your own shimmer paper! Stamp an image, then wash over the entire piece of cardstock with a Wink of Stella™ brush.
Try Wet or Dry
Use Watercolor Pencils with water or dry for different effects. Use them with water on Watercolor Paper (p. 115) for maximum colour vibrance. Or use them dry on Basic White Cardstock (p. 137) and press harder or softer to make them dark or light.
